On October 5, eight new member were inducted in to the Maryland Athletics Hall of Fame as the class of 2012. Headlined by former basketball star Juan Dixon (’02) and former football star Paul Vellano (’73) the inductees were treated to a nice dinner and induction ceremony in the Samuel Riggs Alumni Center. Inductees include Men’s Basketball player Juan Dixon (’02), Football player Paul Vellano (’73), Women’s Lacrosse player Jen Adams (’01), Baseball player Tom Bradley (’72), Women’s Lacrosse player Sarah Forbes (’97), Field Hockey player Cara Tagliente (’01), Women’s Lacrosse Head Coach Cindy Timchal, and Maryland boxer and recipient of the Meritorious Service Award, Leonard Rodman (’43).
